Art for a Cause… Over the past month we learned that HOZIER created this piece of artwork for @llamau_uk #Illustrating Homelessness Charity Auction. Many questions swirled around the bidding process. We are happy to report that a final decision on the mechanics of how the bidding will proceed have been released. In a statement emailed directly to me here are the particulars: “We’ve decided to do all of the sketches with an online ‘sealed bid’ process, meaning people can put in a secret bid in advance of the auction evening. If the sketch doesn’t sell for more than that on the night, then the online bidder will win. In fact, they are not inclusive of anyone’s art in particular. (I clicked on a few and it seems the art piece they show is generic). I’ve emailed them about that. I hope to have more information soon. One final thing to keep into consideration: WALES uses British Pound Sterling. As of today 1 British Pound is equal to $1.44 USD. So it COSTS US citizens $1.44 to buy one of their dollars.
