Special note: As some of you may know, all of the scars on my body that are visible (my arm and my hip) are very real and still very traumatizing to me. I wanted to disclose that those parts are completely real and have had no editing because this piece speaks a lot more to me than my usual pieces. The woman laying upon my dead body is also a very close friend I have grown up with who also suffered from suicidal tendencies, just as I did. The photo, to me, represents how even in our darkest of moments, we are still connected and at peace. There is always a way through the pain. Do not ever let it rule you.

Hozier- Thank God for this Irish Jesus. I came upon Hozier thanks to the billboard charts and his ‘Take me to Church’. The resit is history. This portrait is inspired by his track ‘From Eden’. Hopefully painting this has served as outlet for my obssession with the song.
