still not *quite* satisfied by this so i’ll mess with it more i’m sure. a while back i decided i wanted to do a series of quick paintings of dogs based on hozier songs, but i couldn’t nail down a style. this is close to what i was wanting, so i’ll try some more next–in a week and in the woods somewhere and arsonist’s lullaby are all vying for my attention and i have a cute/funny idea for someone new
the symbolism in this is not particularly subtle but it’s not particularly subtle in the song either
